EU Projects
The project aims at building a closer communication between Greece and Latvia, two countries with traditional friendly relations. The Research Center for Artificial Intelligence has established a basis for cooperation with Municipalities of Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi and Cesis. The House of Europe 'Byron' contributed to the organization of the event, as this organisation had already been involved in this type of cooperation and is experienced in the organisation of culture events. In order to strengthen relations and sectors, a joint decision to carry out the twinning of the cities of Loutraki and Cesis was signed to hold events in both cities. As part of these events, visits were implemented in historical places, to allow the visitors to discover the parts of the cities. Meetings with local economic and cultural operators were organized to improve the exchange of information and views. The Embassies of the two countries, both in Athens and in Riga, took an active role in the events.
